As part of the state’s comprehensive workforce development effort, North Carolina launched a statewide initiative to certify communities and counties as NCWorks Certified Work Ready Communities. This initiative is a collaborative effort between workforce development partners across the state aimed at leveraging data and analysis tools to continue economic growth in North Carolina. Guilford County’s community certification is based on individuals at the county level across the current, transitioning and emerging workforce earning a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) and employers recognizing the NCRC.
We are asking employers in Guilford County to support this initiative. Guilford County’s goal is to have over 200 employers recognize or recommend the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) workplace credential by October 2015.
