Interview on FYI Weekly: GuilfordWorks | Coursera Initiative

Anthony Rogers, Strategic Initiatives Coordinator for GuilfordWorks, appeared on the City of Greensboro’s, FYI Weekly with Carla Banks, to discuss the GuilfordWorks | Coursera initiative. The initiative was developed to help individuals who’ve either been laid off or furloughed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the interview, Anthony Rogers states:

“the cost for the typical course, without the (GuilfordWorks|Coursera) partnership is $400. And, there are… well over 200 universities and industry partners that have collaborated for the curriculum courses within Coursera.”

Just to remind you, GuilfordWorks has teamed up with Coursera to provide unemployed or furloughed jobseekers with job-relevant online learning, at no cost.*

Signing up and enrolling is easy. Register at guilfordworks.org/coursera and then:

  1. Look for an email invitation from Coursera.
  2. Accept the invitation and find the right courses for you. Select courses from any of our curated collections.
  3. Enroll and start your learning journey on Coursera.

Registration Deadline: September 30, 2020.

New training via Coursera

A new article appeared in the Triad Business Journal recently, highlighting arising as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The article also mentioned the great work that we’re doing here at GuilfordWorks with our Coursera Training initiative.

In the article GuilfordWorks Executive Director, Chris Rivera was quoted as having said :

GuilfordWorks initiative helps laid off and furloughed workers get training

GuilfordWorks is partnering with Coursera to offer job-relevant online learning for the unemployed or furloughed job seekers at no cost. Registration is open through September 30.

Anthony Rogers, Strategic Initiatives Coordinator for GuilfordWorks, appeared in a segment on FOX 8 to discuss the GuilfordWorks and Coursera training initiative. Check out the video below.
