HERE ARE ANSWERS TO THE MOST ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING NCWORKS CAREER CENTER CLOSINGS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Are all the Career Centers open? Our NCWorks Career Centers in Greensboro and High Point are currently closed to the public. Our Career Center staff is currently assisting customers, but operations have been modified. Call the individual center for more information.

What should a job seeker do right now? Individuals in Guilford County can call (336) 297-9444 for one-on-one assistance including job search assistance, resume assistance, counseling and guidance, labor market information, assistance with NCWorks.gov, etc. How can I as a business set up an appointment to receive services? Call (336) 297-9444.

 How do I file for unemployment? Due to high call volumes, the fastest and most efficient way to file a new unemployment claim is to file online at des.nc.gov or call (888) 737-0259. You will need your social security # and a valid email address.

*Please note: As an individual, your eligibility, exact amount of benefits, and duration period of those benefits cannot be determined until after you file and submit your claim.

What if I need technical help with using NCWorks.gov and/or lack a computer or reliable internet access? Individuals can call the individual center for assistance with their job search or with navigating NCWorks.gov. You can also check out this interactive video that provides instructions on how the use the site.

When will you reopen, or how will you decide when to reopen?
