Career & Industry Breakdown
CONSTRUCTIONINDUSTRY
Industry Overview
Activities in the construction industry include the building of new structures — including site preparation — and additions or modifications to existing ones. Occupations, in the industry, also consist of maintenance, repair, and improvements to these structures. Without the construction industry, houses, apartments, schools, factories, offices, roads, bridges, and the like would not exist.
Guilford County’s construction industry continues to grow as people and companies seek to relocate to our county. Careers in both construction and other skilled trades are dynamic, fast-paced, and offer livable wages and career growth potential.
