Interview on FYI Weekly: GuilfordWorks | Coursera Initiative

Anthony Rogers, Strategic Initiatives Coordinator for GuilfordWorks, appeared on the City of Greensboro’s, FYI Weekly with Carla Banks, to discuss the GuilfordWorks | Coursera initiative. The initiative was developed to help individuals who’ve either been laid off or furloughed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the interview, Anthony Rogers states:

“the cost for the typical course, without the (GuilfordWorks|Coursera) partnership is $400. And, there are… well over 200 universities and industry partners that have collaborated for the curriculum courses within Coursera.”

Just to remind you, GuilfordWorks has teamed up with Coursera to provide unemployed or furloughed jobseekers with job-relevant online learning, at no cost.*

Signing up and enrolling is easy. Register at guilfordworks.org/coursera and then:

  1. Look for an email invitation from Coursera.
  2. Accept the invitation and find the right courses for you. Select courses from any of our curated collections.
  3. Enroll and start your learning journey on Coursera.

Registration Deadline: September 30, 2020.

*Free access to courses is available through December 31, 2020. Afterward, continuation with Coursera involves a cost to the user.
