Meet Our Board Members

Michelle Adamolekun was named EVP, Chief People & Culture Officer of the Parent Corporation and the Operating Corporation, Cone Health, effective November 1, 2021. Before November 1, 2021, Mrs. Adamolekun served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Novant Health – New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Between 2007 and 2019, she served in various Human Resources leadership roles prior to serving as Regional Chief Human Resources Officer at Ascension Health – the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system with approximately 170,000 employees.

Mrs. Adamolekun has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management with an emphasis in Healthcare from Texas State University. Among her list of accolades, she is a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF); Board Certified Coach (BCC); certified DDI & Emotional Intelligence (EQi) trainer/assessor; and holds the Lean Green Belt designation in Healthcare; along with a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Workplace certification.

As an appointed WDB Member, Michelle will serve as a private sector representative; representing the healthcare industry.
