GREENSBORO, Nov. 14 – 18, 2022 – National Apprenticeship Week is an essential recognition of the value of apprenticeships in the workforce. Celebrating the 85th anniversary, GuilfordWorks participated in a nationwide celebration showcasing the impact Registered Apprenticeship programs have in strengthening our local workforce. We also took time to highlight the success and value our apprenticeship program—Gear Up | ASAP—has had in supporting the local economy, advancing equity, and developing a talent pipeline for employers.
Apprenticeship programs enable employers to develop a talent pipeline that delivers engaged employees for a lot less than traditional training methods. GuilfordWorks works with employers to devise training programs that meet their specific needs. Apprentices receive on-the-job training, related instructions, and a progressive wage scale – all at no cost.
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week we:
Monday, November 14: We thanked our employer partners and educational providers.
We’re excited to work with such great employer partners and education providers, including:
- The Forge Makerspace
- RTriad Enterprises, LLC
- Nehemiah Community Empowerment Center

We sat down with the CEO of RTriad Enterprises, Kevin Robinson, to examine how apprenticeship programs are the more traditional method of building a workforce.
How can you build the talent that services your needs and helps build people’s careers at the same time?
— Kevin Robinson, President, RTriad Enterprises, LLC
Thursday, November 17: GuilfordWorks’ Gear Up | ASAP hosted a roundtable discussion.
