NC Workforce Credentials and Work-Based Learning Models

Business Services, News

Starting on September 1, 2020, a consortium of workforce development organizations, including NCWorks and the NC Department of Commerce, is kicking off a series of presentations and discussions regarding NC Workforce Credentials and Work-Based Learning models.

To gain feedback on industry perspectives of NC Workforce Credentials and Work-Based Learning, the group is hosting several online events for specific industries. These events will provide an opportunity to shape the initial definition of non-degree NC Workforce Credentials and to identify the best models of work-based learning that help to build a highly qualified workforce.

The coalition is also asking for employer input to support their needs and employee development across the state. They understand that it is critical for these credentials and learning models to be relevant to business and industry.

If you can participate, below is a list of each Credentials Conversation for the distinct sectors identified, along with the date and time for that event. Please register for the event for your specific industry.
