GREENSBORO – GuilfordWorks Workforce Development Board celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art NCWorks NextGen Emerging Workforce Career Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 30th.
The Emerging Workforce Career Center, located in downtown Greensboro, fosters an innovative open-concept environment created to increase youth and young adult engagement throughout Guilford County.
Why in Downtown Greensboro?
This facility allows for central collaboration between the various community partners to lead youth through planned activities targeting educational and career pathways.
This location provides quick access to many of our primary and community partners, such as the Greensboro Parks and Recreations team, Greensboro Public Libraries, the Forge Makerspace, East Greensboro Now, and several family success centers. It’s navigable and available to all modes of transportation. Equally as important, we’re flanked by major colleges and universities. And this space will provide some productive activities while they’re in the downtown district.
